Canvas Tamu – Your Gateway to Successful Online Learning!

Canvas Tamu is now available to all Canvas users, not just those in the TAMU community. This powerful new tool will help you stay connected to your classmates and instructors while helping you achieve your goals in online learning. Use this resource to set up or join discussions,
schedule events, and connect with other learners on Canvas! Whether you’re taking an online class, leading a study group, or participating in an online course, Canvas Tamu will help you make the most of it!
What Is It?

Canvas Tamu is a general conversation tool in Canvas, meaning it doesn’t have a specific purpose. However, with features such as polls and group chats, you can use this tool for whatever you want.
This can be an effective way to keep your students engaged and interested in the class by talking about topics that are relevant and interesting. The polls are also useful for getting feedback from your students on what they think of the topic or lesson at hand.
How does it Work?

The Canvas Tamu dashboard is the best place for you to get acquainted with all of the tools and features that are available in Canvas. It’s also where you can access your courses, view your grades, and chat with students and instructors.
You can easily sign up for an account by clicking on Sign Up in the top right corner. After signing up, you’ll be taken through a quick tutorial that will help you learn how to navigate through your courses and Canvas as a whole.
Why Should I Use It?

The Canvas Tamu platform is an all-in-one, free tool that helps you organize, present and share your course content. It’s a great way for teachers and students alike to get the most out of their courses, saving time and money with features like single sign-on. No more jumping from one website to another in search of resources.
Tamu lets you access them all in one place: YouTube videos, quizzes, assignments, calendars, and more. You can even create posts or events on Twitter or Facebook from within the app—another way for instructors to reach students outside of the classroom walls.
Who Should I use it?

The answer is simple. If you are a student, professor, or instructor in an institution of higher education, then Canvas TAMU is for you. It provides an easy way for professors and instructors to get their courses online and accessible to students who live too far away or who have other obligations that make it hard for them to come into the classroom.
